YOUNG MAN DROWNED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Foxton, Yesterday. J A drowning accident occurred in the Manawatu River at Moutoa yesterday afternoon, when Ambrose Bowe, aged 21 years, son of a well-known settler, lost hia life. He was on a raft and slipped and knocked his head on the raft or or on a onag, and never rose. Two others witnessed the accident, which occurred in a deep hole. The body was recovered about two hours later, when a large bruise was noticed on the forehead of Bowe.
