PATRISTIC FUNDS.

THE A*VJS@RY BOARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, March 2. "Arrangements for the election of an Advisory Board as approved by the patriotic societies at the recent conference are now completed," said Hoi 0. W. Russell, Minister in Charge of the War Funds Ac't, to-day. "Provincial conferences are being requested to meet on March 24th to elect delegates. No conference will be required in districts where all the patriotic funds have been united under one control, since a delegate ei delegates can then be selected by the central executive. It has been found since the conference that the Gishorne district, where a great deal of enthusiasm has been shown in the collection of patriotic funds, is not included oillu-r in Auckland or in Poverty Bay, and, unfortunately, this fact was overlooked in establishing the Advisory Board. H is intended therefore to invite representatives of this district te be in Wellington when the Advisory Board meets, and no doubt a satisfactory arrangement caii be made. The first meeting of the Advisory Board will be called for April 6 at Wellington." The Minister mentioned that he had received a letter from the Mayor of Ross stating that the proposal for control of war funds on the West Coast by the War Funds Council has been received with great satisfaction by the people of that district.
