FEBRUARY 191 ft Following is the weather report for February, taken at Pukekura Park weather station, altitude 100 ft,. observer Mr. \V. \V. Smith:— Excepting two stormy days with heavy rain showers on the 3rd" and 4th, the month was the hottest and driest of the corresponding months for sixteen years. The rainfall was also the lowest for the corresponding month for that period. (I have no access to local metcorogical records before the year 1900.) Rain fell on 8 dftvs; I.OOGin. fell on the 4th, .003 in. on the 6th; total 2.057 in. Maximum thermometer, SOdeg. on Bth Tldeg. on 4th and 12th; minimum thermometer, OSdeg. on 20th, 52dcg. on 10t.li and 10th. Maximum wet-bulb thermometer, 7odeg. on 24th, OSdeg. on 4th; minimum wet-bulb thermometer, 02deg. on 3rd, 40deg. on 21st. Polar radiator (sun's heat), 102dcg. on the Ist, 148deg.' on 21st and 22nd. Terrestrial radiator, 58deg. on 4th, 42 deg. on 21st. Sunshine recorder, 12hr, 53min. on 2nd, ahr. 2min. on 20th; total, 252hrs. 30min. There were three sunless days. Cloudiness ranged from 1 point on the 16th to 10 points on 4th, 27tb, and 29th (sunless days).
