METHODIST CONFERENCE.
PROVISION FOR CHAPLAINS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. The Methodist Conference made provision for chaplains serving at the front, as recommended by the committee. It was resolved that a letter of greetings be sent to chaplains and all Methodists willr the expeditionary forces, comprising between three" and four thousand •men; also letters of sympathy ,to all Methodist women who have been bereaved by the war. An application from the Rev. Mr. Spence to become a supernumary, owing to failing health, was agreed to with regret. Chaplain-Major Liixford's application to become a supernumary was granted. The Revs. G. Marshall, T. ■lones, and Vv. Slade were made supernmnaries for one year and the Revs. J. Blight and F, W. Newbold were continued as supernumaries.
