STRATFORD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) 1 Stratford, Yesterday. Last night's rain did a lot of good; the trouble is that there was not enough of it. The county bridge staff are at present building a ferro-eonerete bridge on the Bcndigh Road. They have just completed one bridge on this road and with the completion of this one all the streams will be bridged. Stratford has decided to do all in its power to assist the Recruiting Board, and at a public meeting on Friday evening appointed a committee to carry out the proposals of the Board. . The ladies of the Holy Trinity Church Sewing Guild are holding a sale of work in the Parish Hall to-morrow afternoon and evening. The proceeds are in aid of the church funds.
