MOLESWORTH STREET.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —The above named street has Iwo troubles which may prove fatal any day or night to some of the residents or the publie. Xo. lis the practice made by a certain man, in the face of all warnings, of driving his team, of horses to the paddock, all loose. On Friday night last two aged Indies were nearly run down as they were walking up the footpath at night. Is there no inspector or ranger now? I suppose after a fatality steps will be titken to remedy the trouble. The attention of the engineer is required at once to repair the damage done to the footpath. The other trouble is in connection with an open drain. The doctors have condemned this nuisance. The inspectors from time to time have had a look at, but it seems to stop at tliat. Also, I anWoid that the Council's attion has been drawn to it. but nothing has been done yet.—l am, etc..
