PURSUIT OF TURKS '■ TURKS SEIZE A PASS. Petrograd, February 25 A communique says:—After a series' of battles in Persia the remains of tho enemy troops in the Kermanshad district fortified, -with „he help of German and Turkish sappers, the Bidespurkh Pass, an almost impregnable natural positon. At the Sakhne Pass we are pursuing the Turks, who are in full retreat to Kermanshah. We captured three field pieces, a mountain gun, other weapons and ammunition. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. Wellington, February 26. The High Commissioner reports under date London, February 25 (4.40 p.m.): The advance of the Turks into Persia from Kermanshah has been checked by the Russians, who have taken two fortified mountain passes, the Bidesurch and tho almost impregnable Sakhne passes. The Turks are in full retreat towards Kermanshah. Three field pieces, one mountain gun, a number of machineguns, and a quantity of ammunition, have been captured.
