DISMISSED.

AN ALLEGED STRIKE, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. Mr. W. O. Eiddcll,'S.M., gave .judgment for defendants in a case brought by the Inspector of Awards against four members of the Builders' and Laborers' Union, charging them with participating i» an alleged strike, and also judgment for defendant in an action against the Union secretary for allegedly inciting to strike. The trouble arose over the refusal of one man in a particular contract to join the Union. The Magistrate said that the action of the men in leaving work, after a threat was made was suspicious, hut he was doubtful if the only reason for leaving was that the other man would not join the Union.
