A report submitted by the Wheat Conference computes the value of wheat sold at £3,000,000, the average price being five shillings per bushel. EARLY CLOSING. Sydney, Feb. 23. At the Political Labor League meeting. Mr. Meagher gave notice of motion censuring Mr. Pearce for issuing an early closing proclamation. The debate on this was held in camera. Waterside workers protest at the new regulation, and threaten to stop work at five unless the proclamation is withdrawn.
