Butter.—Very firm; Danish, ]G4s to 1158s; the rise is principally due to a fall in the rate of exchange, which is generally attributed to our reduction of exports to Denmark: there is a good inquiry for New Zealand butter, choicest salted selling at 154s to ]sos. unsalted 100s to 1645; Australian is practically cleared; salted 140s to ,148 a, ununited 158s to 160s. Cheese.—Easier; Xew Zealand white, 00s; full colored, OGs. Copper.—Spot £lO6 us, three months £lO3 ss. Tin, £IBO 5s and £lßl. Tig-iron, 90s fid. Lead, £32 and £32 ss. Spelter.—Spot £lO2, three months £O4. Silver, 2Gjd. A Sugar. —Firm and unchanged. Wool—At Bradford, wool was quiet and unchanged. Received Feb. 20. 5.3 p.m. London, Feb. 10. Rubber:—Para 3s 2>/ 4 d; plantation 3s 6 l / 2 d: smoked, 3s 5%t1. Rabbits are unchanged. The demand for Colonial sorts is improving. New Zealand sheep:— Canterbury, heavy, 7%d; ewe.?, 7'/ s d. Lambs:—Canterbury, heavy, 7%d; other classes, S'/ 8 d; Southland Sd; North Island, ordinary, Sd. Australian sheep are not offering. Lambs of all classes Sy B 'd. South American sheep:—Light and heavy, 7'/ ; d. Argentine chilled beef:—Fores 6%d. hinds 7%d. The other meats are unchanged.
