WEST COAST TOURNAMENT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Westport, Feb. 17. The West Coast bowling tournament which commenced on Tuesday, was concluded to-night, the weather being beautifully fine throughout. The final rink match was played between teams skipped by Buck (Greymouth), and McKay (Westport), the former winning by 25 to 21. The pairs match was won by Anderson and Struthers (Westport),' who, after a very strenuous game, defeated Tfarrnn and Stevenson (Hokitika). by 21 to '>•>. "Mr. \Y. Ring, on behalf of the West Coast Centre, presented the rinks' winner with the Ballingcr Cup and the pairs' winner with Hallensteiu's Cup. OKATO v. PIHAMA. The first bowling match in Okato was played on Thursday, when two r'mks from Pihama journeyed to the coastal township. The visitors were victorious in a game of 21 heads, but in a second match of 11 heads the local team gained the verdict by a narrow margin. The teams were:—Pihama: Thomallev, Noilson, R. Lambie, W. Lambio (s):'Campbell, Corkill, Moore, F. Julian (s). Okato: Booker, C. Gill, McLeod, Roebuck (s); C. Andrews, O'Connor, McGIU, Franks (s). Afternoon tea. provided by the ladies, added to the enjoyment of ihe afternoon. Mr. Lambie, on behalf of the visitors, returned thanks for the hospitality extended and wished the new club a prosperous career. Tfic members of both teams were then entertained to dinner Wv Mr. B. T. Booker at the Okato Hotel.
