The death of Captain M. Livingstone, well-known as a master in the Union Steamship Co.'s service, is thus referred to by a Scottish paper:—Captain Malcolm Livingstone, chief representative in this country of the New Zealand Steamship Company, passed away suddenly on Christmas morning in his native village of Hockton, whither lie had gone some months ago to recuperate. Deceased. began his seafaring career in the local schooners, from which lie entered the employment of the N.Z. U.S.S.
