The marriage of Mr. K. B. Bair. .: Nov Plymouth, to Miss Jean Auld ... Egmont Village, took place at the i.\ mont Village Presbyterian Church yc,. terday. The ceremony was pc Ny'inci by the Rev. S. S. Osborne.

The Rev. E. L. Harvie, the newlvappointed vicar of Inglewood, was dulv inducted at St. Andrew's Church on Tuesday evening, the Rev. Howard, of Stratford, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Harrison, of Waitara. The death is announced of Mr», Julian, widow of the late Mr. Xioholat Julian. The late Mrs, Julian was one of the pioneer settlers of this district, arriving in New Plymouth with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G, Gordon, and other members of the familv, in the Timandra on February 24, lSil She had resided in the Omata district practically all her married life, and leavei a large family.

Lord French's last despatch mentioned the following officers:—Colonel (temporary Brigadier (ieneral) R. H Davies, C.B. (well-known in Taranaki); SecondLieut. H. M. I.epper, King's Roya) Rifles (of Lepporton); Captain J. S. Dockrill Royal Army Medical Corps (son pf Mr. E, Dockrill, of New Plymouth).

Another of the highly esteemed hand of pioneer settlers in this district, Mrs. Julian, widow of the late Mr. Nioholaa Julian, passed away yesterday, at the ripe age of 83 years, Sl'ni was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Jordan, and with her parents arrived at New Plymouth on February 24, 184 a, in the Timandra, and has resided in the Omata district for very mairy years. She leaves a .argt family to mourn her low. r t.e funeral takes place at the Omat* " iinetery to morrow.
