NOTES FROM THE TIMES, j AMERICA AND THE LUSITANIA. Times anil Sydney Sun Services. Received I'eb. 9, fi.a p.m. London, Feb. 8. The Times, in a leader, refuses to believe that President Wilson has made a, great surrender and is accepting German blood-money and assurances not to i reepafc the offence. The Times adds: "In view of the clear and reiterated statements and principles in previous Notes branding the sinking of liners as illegal and inhuman, we decline to think him or any President capable of abandoning the claim." INVASION OF CANADA. The New York Herald says the Ga.na.dian Government has received secret service reports indicating a German invasion. Two hundred thousand Mausers were distributed on the frontier, and numerous German officers lave arrived disguised in order to lead the invasion.
