LOSS OF THE SQUALL THE CArTAIN IN ERROR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Feb. 8. The magisterial inquiry into the loss of the steamer Sonall near the East Cape was concluded to-day. The court held uliat the loss appeared to bo an error of judgment on the part of Captain Vasta in not verifying his distance from Ho'roera Point and not making sufficient allowance for the set of the ebb tide. The captain was ordered to pay the costs of the inquiry, but no order was ninde as to any of the certificates of the officers. The corinna. The Corinna arrived yesterday from Wellington and Nelson with about 800 tons of general cargo. She sailed last night for Wellington anil is cxpeeteil back here to-morrow. On Friday the Corinna will sail for the south with produce. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa arrived from Onehungit yesterday, bringing 100 tons of general cargo, including "0 tons of cement anil 18 tons of sugar.
