Captain T. L. Buxton, quartermaster or the troopship Willochra, is on a brief visit to New Plymouth. A London cablegram reports the death of Mr. Russell Kea, M.P. for South Shields. Mr. Eea was a shipowner and merchant and was 70 years of age. Lieut. W. H. Humphrey, who has for the past fifteen months been acting as drill instructor for Ingle-wood and district, has been appointed area officer, with headquarters a t Dannevirke.
