CREATING TROUBLES By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, February ;1. The Star's Whakafane correspondent telegraphs that there is grave anxiety on the outskirts of the Urewera Country on account-of a number of followers of the "prohet" Rua having resolved to assist him forcibly to resist his arrest to serve a sentence of nine months' imprisonment for Belling grog to natives. -It will be remembered that when Rua first established his pa, smoking and drinking were prohibited. NOT YET ARRESTED. Auckland, February B. There are no further details to-day of the antics of the "prophet'' Rua, who lias taken upon himself the title of "kaiser," and is resisting arrest in connection with his recent convictions in the Urewera Country. Two native constables have returned to Taneatua, after an attempt to bring Rua in. They were told by Rua's followers that ]ioj refused to come, and were a=ked to> leave without delay. They did so to avoid trouble. A correspondent states that the followers or the ''Kaiser of Urewera'' number over S0(l_, who are pledged to resist his a"rest. UXFOCXDED ItrirOßSi, Auckland, February f!. The Herald's Whakatane correspondent telegraphed to-night that great excitement has been caused through the circulation of sensational and false rumors concerning the ''prophet" Rua. The constables sent to arrest Rua did not get more than half-way to their destination,- owing to flooded rivers. Constable Cnmmings states that he does not anticipate any trouble in arresting Rim.
