A YOUTHFUL GENIUS.
A YOUNG AUCKXANDEB. Much interest wan evinced in the appearance at the Theatre Royal last night of Henri de Lissae, the brilliant boy violinist, and those who attended were treated to a revelation. When listening to the violin playing of this boy of 12 one is forced into the belief that it is some seasoned adult that has been through all the severe schools of music who is charming the ear. Descended from the famous Polish family, the Tschaiekowskys, this diminutive musician bids fair to add lustre to Jij brilliancy of its reputation. The lad is « born artist, and his audience last night quickly recognised the fact. His programme was an exacting one, but he carried it through in a thorough manner. Music lovers will have another opportunity of hearing this genius again to-night in conjunction with the picture programme at the Theatre Royal.
