It is reported that since the last bombardment of Varna one of the two German submarines that had been using the port as a base had not returned, and itis supposed that she has been sunk. ON DANISH COAST, •GERMA.V DESTROYERS AGROUND. Received Jan. 31, 5.5. p.m. London, Jan. 30. Reuter's Copenhagen correspondent states that two German destrovers are aground southeast of Salt-holm Island, on tlie Denmark toast. A cruiser and trawlers are assisting them. A DANISH VESSEL SEIZED Copenhagen, Jan. "0. 'A German submarine captured the Danish steamer Vidav, bound for England with provisions, and conveyed her to Swinemunde. ' SPANISH VESSELS -SUNK.-' v Madrid. Jan. 30. Two Spanish vessels have been sunk by mines moored far outside territorial waters in the Bay of Biscay, probably by German submarines.
6 T!J! PICIOUB MEAT CARGO London, Jan. 30. Official: There were 142 tons of meat aboard the Stockholm. These were originally entered on the ship's manifest, hut were struck out of the bill of lading. As the British Consul sealed the hatches in New York the alteration arouses suspicions of fraud.
