MONTENEGRO OCCUPIED, SOME FORCES ESCAPE. Athens, Jan. 27. A correspondent of the Messagero •Ay» that the whole of Montenegro ha* been occupied by the enemy. The Montenegrins' resistance at Mount larabosch helped the escape. The Serbo-Monte-negrin force* are concentrated in the Scutari region, and 60,000 Montenegrins ■were led into Albania. CAPITULATION PERSISTENTLY REPORTED. Received Jan. 28, 5 p.m. "■ • ■ London, Jan. 27. A German wireless message publishes details of the alleged Montenegrin' surrender, asserting that it was agreed to unconditionally. King Nicholas of Montenegro wrote to the Emperor Francis Josef asking for generous conditions for bis unhappy country. When the troops reached the environs of Cettinje a civic delegation formally surrendered the,city, also the archives and public buildings. The message admits that the populace is rioting, and that Austrian troops are suppressing the trouble, also that martial law obtains in Cettinje. An Austrian communique claims that the Montenegrin Plenipotentiary signed the capitulation on Tuesday.. /T THE MERCY OF THE AUSTRIAN'S Times and Sydney Sun Services. Received Jan. 28, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 27. The Timeß correspondent at Rome says that reports from Montenegro are contradictory, but the State is clearly at the mercy of the Austrians, and the majority of. the Montenegrins have perforce, given up arms. The Austrians have occupied San Giovanni, and another mixed column of Bulgarians and Albanians is coming down the Matza Valley. Numerous Serbs and Croats who have been pretending to take refuge in Montenegro from Herzegovina have been preparing Montenegro for the Austrians. HOODWINKING THE ALLIES. A BULGARIAN 10AST. Received Jan. 28, 5 p.m. London, Jan. 27. The Sofia correspondent of the Nieue Freie Presße states that King Ferdinand at the Nish banquet boasted that M. RadoslavofTs diplomacy hoodwinked the Allies before Bulgaria joined the fray.
