STRATFORD.
(From Our Own Stratford, Yesterday. A painful accident happened this morning to Mr. W. Rowson, foreman for Mr. N. J. King. He was putting in a window sash when it slipped, with the '/esult that his hand went through the window, and the broken pane fell on his wrist cutting it deeply, necessitating veveral stitches. A quist and pretty wedding took.place yesterday morning at the residence of Mr J. McCluggage, when Maisie, youngest daughter of Mrs. Irvine, was united in matrimony to Agnew, youngest son of Mr. Thomas McCluggage, Dunedin. Miss E. Brayshaw was the bridesmaid, «nd Mr. John McCluggage acted as bes: tman. The Rev. J. Pattinson was the officiating minister. The happy couple ieft immediately after the ceremony by the mail train for Wellington, en route to the South Island, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The adjourned meeting of the Taranaki War Relief Association takes place at Stratford to-morrow (Friday). The first term of St. Mary's School begins on Monday, February fl. The school has made great progress since its inception, and the new term starts with a full complement of boarders, pupils coming from as far north as the Bay of Island.
