NATIONAL REGISTRATION. THE SLACKER?.. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. In a preliminary statement issued of the result of the National Register, 8300 single men and widowers without dependents stated they were not prepared to volunteer for the Expeditionary Forces, nor to serve in other capacities. These have now been analysed, and the results, said the Hon. 0. W. Bussell today, are as follows: Religious or conscienscious objection, 819; for business reasons, 223"; personal reasons, 313); political reasons 260; miscellaneous reasons, 204; no reasons stated 173 -
