Received Jan. 20, 5.50 p.m. Amsterdam, Jan. 25. An Austrian communique says: We occupied Scutari on the twenty-third. The garrison and several thousand Serbians retreated, not risking a battle. A few thousand Montenegrins and Serbians in a desperate battle near Podgoritza held up two Austrian divisions. The enemy's losses were enor nious.
