A SPARTAN FATHER. Melbourne, January 24. At a, recent public meeting Mr.Ha.mpson, Federal member for Bendigo, stated that his son, who was in New Zealand, had refused to enlist. He read a letter he had written to his son, saying: '•'As you have failed in your duty I will take your plnce.'' Mr. Hampson to-day carried out his intention and enlisted.
