PROGRESS OF CAMPAIGN. , ' v V TOE PUBLIC ANXIOUS. London, Jan. 18. Newspaper discussions and questions itt Parliament indicate growing public '/anxiety at the complexity of the situation in the Tar. East, particularly at Kut-cl-Amara. The .anxiety was not allayed by Mr. Chamberlain's statement in the House of CommoHs thiit the War Council considered' and approved the operations in Mesopotamia, and that the Government was alive to the necessity of providing the expedition with adequate reinforcement* and equipment.
