At the Urenui yards on Monday, 10th inst., for the first sale in these yards after the holidays, I had a fair entry, lor which there was good enquiry. MATTHEWS, GAMLIX & CO.'S REPORT. On Wednesday last we held our usual weekly sale at our Inglewood yards, and liacl a fair entry of stock, which was all sold at very satisfactory prices. We quote: Fat cows £7 14s to £9 lis, forward cows £G 10s to £7 Ills, store lows £3 lOs to £0 lis, springing heifers £7, bulls £4 10s to £fi 10s, yearling heifers £2 8s to £3 4s, ewes and In.mbs 23s Ccl to 20s, forward ewes 17s 9d.

On Tuesday, 11th inst., we also held our usual monthly sale of wool, skins, hides, tallow, etc., when we had a catalogue of 207 packages of wool and the usual quantity of sheepskins, hides, etc. There was an average attendance of buyers. A good deal of the wool was passed in. 'but was disposed of privately after the sale. Owing to the embargo placed 011 wool to neutral countries by the Government, prices receded from '/.d to %d per lb, otherwise the sale was a great success.
