NEW BUILDING SCHEME ANOTHER MEMBER OP BOARD IRESIGNS. A special meeting of the New (Plymouth High School Board was held last night. 'Present: Messrs. E. Dockrill chairman), M. Eraser, D. Hutclien, H. Trimble, E. P. Webster, J. S. Fox, and W. F. Atkinson. The meeting was not open to the Press. After considerable discussion it was proposed, "That tenders be accepted for the girls' class,rooms and the girls' boarding house." This was lost by four votes to three, the voting being: For, Messrs. Fraser, Hutclien, and Trimble; against, Messrs. Dockrill, Webster, Fox, and Atkinson. It was then, proposed "That the contractor be notified that the contract for the girls' class-rooms and the boys' ■boarding house will be proceeded with, subject to modifications adopted by the committee." This ntotion was carried, Messrs. Fraser, Hutclien, and Trimble voting against it. Mr. Fraser intimated that in view of the decision arrived at he proposed to tender his resignation as a member of the Board. Mr. "Webster was appointed to in place of Mr. Fraser on a deputation which is to be sent to Wellington. The resignation of Mr. Fraser makes the third vacancy on the Board that has occurred within the last few weeks, Messrs. Mc-Hardy and 'Ewing having already resigned.
