Beef in large supply sold at fully Weslfiold rates. At the Wcstfield fat. stock market on Wednesday prime oxen sold ofc £2 4s per 1001b; cows and heifers, £1 15s to £2 2s; steers sold at from £l2 10s to £2l 2s Cd; cows, £(j 10s to £l3 las; 10 steers from Mr. ,1. Masscy, Weeks Island, averaged £lO 15s; 20 steers from Messrs. R. and W. Gollan, Panmure, averaged £IR Is Od. Calves wore penned in small numbers and sold at last week's high prices. Runners, £4 17s .to £7 15s; heavy suckers, £3 7s to £4 0s; medium, £2 9s to £3 4s; light, £1 5s to £2 4s; small and fresh-dropped, 5s to £1 Is. Pigs were penned in average numbers and these again sold at high prices. Baconers, £2 17s to £5; heavy porkers, £2 12s to £3 Ms; medium porkers, £2 to £2 lis; light, £1 10s to £1 IPs; weaners. lis to £1 Is; slips, ,il 3s to £1 Ss. Sheep were yarded in less than average numbers and improved in prices from 2s to 3s per head. ADDINGTOM There were comparatively small entries, but the attendance was good, Cattle vdiowod some improvement, and store sheep sold at advanced rates, hut fat lambs were irregular, and in some cases easier than at the previous sale. Fat sheep advanced on an average Us per head, but store cattle were dull of sale.
