Among the sick and wounded wlio returned by the Tahiti was a man who said that he got through two to three months in the trenches all right, but was then laid up with rheumatic fever. This led to heart trouhle, and he was now threatened with asthma, and his nerves were "all gone to pieces." Another had thirteen weeks of it in the trenches, but suddenly collapsed and was gent to hospital, pneumonia developing on the way'. Up to the time they left, these men said there had not been much rain at Gallipoli, but the night dews were exceptionally heavy, and this no doubt gave rise to much rheumatism and pneumonia that the troops were troubled with. A third man, in the Ambulance Corps, said that he also had a long spell on the Peninsula. He acted as stretcher-bearer in some of. the heavy fighting, including, the famous charge at Sari Bair, against Hill 871. He was not hurt in that fight, but later on when he and a mate were carrying a wounded soldier on a stretcher they stumbled by ill-chance in a hidden trench, seven feet deep. His mate and the wounded soldier were killed and his spine was injured, and he also afterwards got a shot wound through the thigh. Among the returned soldiers a large number, both Maoris and pakehas, took part in the groat charge at Sari Bair.

They are elegant in appearance and pleasant to take; they are immensely more valuable than an ordinary aperient; they remove from the blood, tissues, and internal organs, waste poisonous matter that is clogging them and choking the channels that lead to and from them. Frootoids are THE BEST aperient medicine to take when anj Congestion or Blood Poison is present, or when Congestion of the Brain or Apoplexy is present or threatening. They have been tested, and have been proved to afford quick relief in such cases when other aperients have not done any good at all. Frootoids are absolutely unrivalled for FAMILY use; their beneficial effects are evident by the disappearance of headaohe—a bright cheery sense of perfect health taking the place of sluggish depressed feelings, by the liver acting properly, and by the food being properly digested. MEDICINE. A dose taken once a week, at bed-time, is highly beneficial. They act splendidly on the Liver. A constipated habit of body will be completely cured if the patient will on each occasion, when suffering, take a dose of Frootoids instead of an ordinary aperient.
