DISQUALIFICATIONS AT HASTINGS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, Yesterday. Last night the stewards held an enquiry into the running of Croesus in the Summer Handicap, and decided to disqualify Croesus, his owner (G. F. Hardy), his trainer (J. S. O'Neill) and his jockey (H. Lorigan) during the pleasure of the club, on the grounds that Croesus had been pulled in. 11. Griffiths, rider of Pursefiller in the same race, had Jiis license cancelled for giving false information to the stewards at the enquiry. While the management of the T.J.C. Christmas meeting was excellent in every way there is one detail which might well be attended to before the next meeting- eventuates. We refer to the facilities (or rather lack of them) for pressmen. No press book, such as is to be found at other large race meetings, is provided, and the reporters are kept "on the go" all day, running up and down stairs, to gather totnlisator figures, overweights, etc., all of which could be supplied to them at an infinitesimal cost to the club. Press reporters are long-suffering, and their work is arduous and exacting enough without unnecessary additions. We commend the provision of a press book for February's meeting to the club.
