. STRATFORD ANNUAL MEETING. •SECOND DAY'S RESULTS. The Stratford Racing Club's annual meeting was concluded yesterday in showery weather. The attendance was again large, and the meeting was one of the most successful held on the Stratford course. Fields were larger than on the first day, and racing was interesting throughout. Mr. Skipworth was in good form at the barrier, and Mr. J. R. L. Stanford hoisted the numbers promptly and correctly. The Wanganui Garrison Band again supplied delightful music.-- Captain C. Patterson "stiped" the meeting, but no official notice of enquiries was given to the Press. The totalisator turnover for the day was £18,804 10s, a total of £38,180 for the meeting, which represents an increase of £7655 on the figures for the corresponding two days last year. Results:— J

Also started: 2 Haupai 8.9 (Ravnerj, 5 Henry Clay 8.0 (Lambess). An even send-off saw the field run past the stand in close company, tax and Glacier just showing i'n front of the buneh. Glacier and Syntax were together along the back, but" the latter was in front at the bend, with Collector coming fast. Gipsy Gem and Fair Paul were coupled on the totalisator. Roderick broke a fairly even line, and was followed by Akahai," Silver Web and a strung-out lot along the back. Silver Web joined Roderick* nearing the turn, and Pergola, Akahai and Maid o' Gowrie dosed up. Akahai was the first to straighten up for the run home, but was tackled by Maid o' Gowrie at the distance, and failed to stall oft the Birkenhead mare, who won easily by a length. Grattan hopped out first, followed by Glenroy, Tree Lm-erne and Zetes. .As they passed the five furlongs post Grattan was just in front of Tyson, with Tree Lucerne heading a bunched crowd. As they came into the straight Glenroy and Play Off closed on the leaders, and in a fine finish the former won handily by three-quarters of a length from Play Off, who beat Tyson by half a length. Then followed Tree L/ueerne, who had been as on the first day, and Grattan. Peroneal was last. Time, lmin 15 4-osee.

Knocknagow and Tarero came into the straight together, but passing the stand Epworth went to the front followed by Cornice and Knocknagow. The latter rapped the next two hurdles, and fell back. Cornice was in the lead again at the six furlongs post, and Tarero had run into second place. Tarero joined Cornice at the turn, and quickly had her measure, winning easily by half a length. Knocknagow was fifteen lengths away and Epworth last. Time, 2min 52see.

Bivouac broke the line and set a warm pace, followed by Bisogne, and the others bunched. Bivouac was still in front at the turn, but Bisogne drew up at the half-distance and won easily by three-quarters of a length.
