On New Year's Day another excellent programme was given in Devon street, and at night the Grand Patriotic Concert took place in the Cood Templar Hall. The programme was of a high order and encore* were numerous. Brigadier Carmiehael, from Auckland, acted as chairman, and thi audience were highly pleased with tht evening's programme, Yesterday after noon, in the Recreation Ground*, about 2000 people gathered, the collection at the gate being over £4O. Last night the band held a memorial march is me mory of New Zealand's fallen soldiers and afterwards a short service was h«M in the Good Templar Hall, when Brig dier Carmichael and 6taff-Ca,ptain Thur kettle conducted the Bervicc.
