[Enclosures.] ARMAMENTS FROM TARANAKI IRONSAND. To Hon. Arthur Myers, Minister of Munitions, Auckland. Sir, —As a member of the Xexv Plymouth Patriotic Committee, 1 wish to bring under your notice the grtat possibilities for the manufacturing of armaments, etc., there is :r cur Taranaki ironsand. Very successful demonstrations have been held under the Heskett process, whereby pig-iron and steel can be produced at about half the cost of the imported articles. The outputsirto now is beiiig bought by and ua'd in privnti iron fJnWries by the owners of these works.
