OLD PEOPLE'S HOME.
INMATES ENTERTAINED. In continuance of the Christmas cheer i arranged bv some of the folk of the : Whitcley Memorial Church, which took last week the form of hampers for a i number of needy families and on Wed- , ncsday included a motor outing for the folk of the Old People's Home, a concert party last night visited that Home. An excellently varied programme was provided to the obvious enjoyment of the inmates. The Rev. A, B. Chappell acted as chairman, and the party included also Meadames W. Ambury, Chappell, Olds, T. C. List and Hill, Messrs Ambury, McDonald, MeKinney, Stainton, List, and the Rev. C. H. Olds. Pianoforte solos were played by Mesd&mes Ambury and Chappell; aongs were Tendered by Mesdames Chappell, Olds, and List, and MeKinney; elocutionary items were contributed by Messrs Chappell and Olds; and concerted vocal items Were sung by various members of the party. ■ At the conclusion of the programme the chairman expressed the good wishes of the visitors, arid two of the inmates made grateful responses oil behalf of those to whom the welcome visit hud been naUU
