SALVATION ARMY.
SILVISK BAND. This excellent musical combination left Auckland yesterday afternoon and /is due to arrive this morning. There is every prospect of a most successful tour through Taranaki, and the people of Ilawcra, Eltham, Stratford and Inglewood where the band visits next week are no duobt in for a treat. The band will make their first appearance in Devon Street this afternoon, and then again to-night they will render a number of selections. In order that friends from the country may have an opportunity of hearing this famous band it has been decided for the band to give a programme at Anibury's corner tomorrow, morning from 11 a.m. till noon, and in the evening the Grand Patriotic Concert will be held in the Good Templar Hall, when the band and also the vocalists, will be heard in some of their choicest pieces. As advertised the liecreation Ground has been secured for Sunday afternoon, when a silver collection will be taken at the gates, and as the whole proceeds are in aid of the Serbian Relief Funds it is hoped the public will respond in a most liberal manner. The final service will be held in the Theatre on Sunday at 8 p.m., when the band will render the service of song, entitled, "The Wreck of the Wairarapa."
