QUEST FOR OIL.
INGLEWOOD COMPANY'S PROSPECTS. The annual report of the Inglewood Oil-boring and Prospecting Company is ftß follows: . Your directors have to report that our options are still good. We have been waiting, hoping for favorable news concerning the operations at the Huiroa bore, which from the position of our rights is straight 111 a south-easterly direction from New Plymouth, and which Mr. D. C. Clarke, late Government Geologist, reported on as being in a!', probability the oil line. The same conclusions are embodied by a recent report to the Hon Minister of Mines by Mr. P. C. Morgan, the present Director* of Geological Survey. The development at the Huiroa bore will have an important bearing upon our future, for if oil is obtained there our options will immediately become very valuable. You will require to elect three directors in place of Messrs T. Furlong, jun., A. D. Gray, and T. H. G. Nicholls. You will also require to elect an auditor, Mr. Hugh Baily, the retiring auditor, again offers his service*.
