SALVATION ARMY.
SILVER BAND. The people of New Plymouth are in for a musical treat this week-end, when the famous Auckland Silver Band will open their eight days' tour in Taranak! and give concerts in aid of the Serbian Relief Fund. This excellent musical combination will arrive by steamer on Friday morning, and will give their first programme in Devon Street during the afternoon, and will also play in the evening. The street collections will go towards the heavy expense Adjutant Home has taken upon himself in bringing such a large band to New Plymouth. On New Year's night the band will give a grand patriotic concert in the Good Templar Hall, when the proceeds will bjj set aside towards the Serbian Relief Fund, and as the admission is 2s and Is there should be a crowded hall to help the band in their praiseworthy effort.
