DISTRICT NEWS.
WAREA. (From Our Own Correspondent). The annual meeting of the Warea Athletic Club was hold on Saturday, December IS when there were present: Messrs S. Male (president). J. Ross, H. Clarke, C. Pearson, C. Corbett, W. West, N. Perry, C. Revell and J. M Clarke. The report, which was adopted, congratulated the members on the successful issue of the last sports, which showed a profit of £2O lGs 2d, which was handed over to the Relief Funds. The club tendered its thanks to the committee for tho willing way in which they worked to make the sports a success financially and for procuring blocks; and also to the ladies and gentlemen who sent in donations, and those outside the district who became members. The club tendered its sincere sympathy to the parents and relatives of Privates Reg. Hill and John Keasberry and Corporal Harry Burrows, members of the club, who 'foil fighting for their King and country. It was decided not to hold the annual sports this year. A dance will be held in aid of the hall funds on December 31. The weather has been dry of late, but recent *l)9> , "" V ~!>ve done a great deal of BQQ&,
