TARANAKI AMUSEMENTS, LTD.
HOLIDAY ATTRACTIONS. The Taranaki Amusements, Ltd., aro catering for the amusements of the public with special star film selections at the Theatre Royal and Empire Picture Palace. At the Theatre Royal, Miss Mary Piekford will entertain her numerous ad mircrs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, December 27, 28, and 29, with a noted play of theatrical life entitled "Behind the Scenes," a "Famous Players" production and one of the greatest film successes this popular young actress has appeared in. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday, December 30, 31, and January 1, the star attraction will be a "World Corporation" star entitled "Money," a powerful melodrama of the hour, condensing the lessons gained in the years of struggle by the workers against the organised systems of the kings of finance. On Tuesday and Wednesday, December 28 and 29, a "World's Corporation" star will occupy the chief placa on the programme at this deservedly popular place of entertainment. The attraction will be that ever green story, "Uncle Tom's Cabin," popular the world over, by Harriet Beecher Stowe. On Thursday and Friday, a Keystone comedy "Fatty's Plucky Pup" will occupy pride Of place on a complete change of programme. On Saturday, January 1, and again on Monday 3, the management will introduce the first episode of the great Thanhouser £40,000 serial, "The Million Dollar Mystery." The first incident will be a nerve tingling sensation, "The Airship in the Night." This series will be continued each Saturday and Monday until the concluding episode.
