A MOTOR FATALITY.

CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Dec. 20. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, John William Grant, a Mackenzie Country run holder, reserving his defence, was committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter by having caused the death of Walter P. Cox on November 24, by a collision between accused's motor-car and deceased's motor-cycle. Evidence showed that accused, who was following another car (both going at a fast pace, said to be 40 to 50 miles per hour) was on the wrong side of the road, and could not see ahead for the dust from the first car. Bail was allowed.
