A VAIN SEARCH. GERMANS SCOURING THE NORTH SEA. Received Oee. 21, 11.40 p.m. London, Dec. 21. A German communique, referring to the efforts to find the British fleet, states: Portion of our fleet last week searched the North Sea for the enemy and then cruised the Skagerack on Wednesday and Thursday watching the shipping. They examined fifty-two vessels, and seized one with contraband. The British naval forces were nowhere sighted.
