OBITUARY.
The deaths of the Hon. Arthur Stanley, Earl De la W'arr and Professor Sir •John Rhys are announced. (The Hon. Arthur Stanley, M.V.0., M.P., Unionist, was the third son of the 10th Earl of Derby. He was at one time private secretary to Mr. Balfour, and has represented the Ormskirlc division of SAY. Lancashire since 1898. Lord De la Warr, the head of the Sackvillc family, was eighth Earl. He served with pßthune's Horse in South Africa. The Right Hon. Sir John Rhys was a well-known Oxford Don, having been £i^nH ( pal of Jesus College, Oxford, since l*i>s. He served on numerous Royal Commissions, and was a recognised authority ou archaeology, anthropology and Welsh philology, on which, as well aj on kindred subjects, he lias published several works and treatises).
