THE HIGH SCHOOLS. Last night's meeting of the Board of Governors of the New Plymouth High Schools was one of the most important that has been held for some time. The momentous question of how tho problem of the proposed building programme was to be solved formed the main topic of discussion, and the Board is to be congratulated on arriving at a decision which, if the necessary iinaneial support is forthcoming, will satisfactorily secure for the girls of Taranaki the recognition of their claim to be placed on equally advantageous conditions as regards class rooms and boarding facilities as are now enjoyed by the boys.
