(From our Own Corespondent.) Stratford, Yesterday. Messrs McMillan and Fredric had' an unpleasant surprise when they opened their business premises this "morning. Through some unexplained reason a water tap in Messrs Hunter and Lyon's surgery (who occupy the top floor over Messrs McMillan and Fredric) hurst, with the result that the watei found its way to the grounddbor. causing :onsiderable damage t"6"thc stock.
. At the S.M. Court this morning Mr W. R. Haselden, S.M., occupied the bench. The legal fraternity were largely represented, and a welcome was extended to the new S.M. who thanked the members of the Bar for the welcome and kind sentiments expressed The executive committee of the A. and P. Association met on Wednesday evening, when the balance-sheet of the late show was presented, and satisfaction was expressed at the financial result. Votes of thanks were passed to the judges, stationmastcr and staff, police and Press for their efforts on behalf of the Association. Considerable time was taken up regarding a protect tumi two ladies in connection with the home industries, and after a good deal of evidence had been taken it was finally decided that the prizes should be duided between the two exhibitors.
The following three rinks have been selected from the Stratford Bowling Club to play three rinks from the lnghwood Club on the lnglewood sreen tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon:'llignett. North, Curtis, Sangstcr ( s ) ; LeverW'ge, Hartley, Reeve, King (s); Row?. Wood! Masters, Morison (s). The players will leave for lnglewood by the 12.50 p.m. train.
