BOWLING.
A PATRIOTIC EFFORT. There was a large muster of bowlers .and visitors at the New Plymouth green yesterday afternoon, when a match Was played between teams representing East and West, every rink on the green being occupied. The proceedings wTe. enlivened by Mrs. George's orchestra, and they are deserving of great praise for their kind assistance in such a good cause. The honors of the match went to the Eastern teams, who won by 125 to 121. Following are the scores, East being mentioned first at each rink:—
