TROOPER'S WIPE'S SUDDEN DEAT& By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A woman named Bessie Tattle, whs resided in Frederick Street, died suddenly last night, while sitting with! some of her young children. She mi suddenly taken ill, and lav down on the bed and expired. Her husband, Alfred Tattle, is in camp at Trentham. A YOUTH SHOT. Wellington, Last Night. A youth named Herbert Hobday, re» siding at Island Bay, met with a serious accident early this morning. He was handling a loaded revolver when the charge exploded, and the bullet strnclc him on the head, fracturing his skulL He was removed to the hospital, where an operation was performed, and portion of the bullet was removed. Si» condition is critical. The youth Hobday, victim of the shooting accident at Island Bav, died itt hosiptal. Mrs. .Mitchell, an elderlv woman belonging to luvercargill, died in hospital as the result of severe injuries she suffered through' being knocked down bj) a train at Petone last Saturday.
