ON THE BELGIAN COAST. f A HEAVY BOMBARDMENT. London, Bee. 14. The Daily Telegraph's Boulogne correspondent states that the British fleet bombarded the German defences in the vicinity of Ostend and Zeebrugge on Saturday and destroyed entanglements designed to prevent the landing of troops. It is stated that the enemy is prepared to evacuate the district, apprehending that a landing may follow the bombardment. The enemy took refuge in the cliffs near Baversyde. A German aviator attempted to fly over the ships, but was forced to return to the hangar, which our shell fire subsequently destroyed. A number of anti-aircraft guns were destroyed, and three large guns put out of action. The enemy did not return.

HAVRE EXPLOSION. ~

DUE TO AMERICAN:MUNITIONS. Boris, Dee. 14. Le Temps-states that investigation of the Havre explosion has disclosed that one of the buildings contained boxes of ammunition from America. One of the boxes was fitted with apparatus to cause destruction. The German prisoners' camp was located near the factories.

Mynheer Schroeder, editor of the Telegraaf, who was arrested for endangering the country's neutrality, has been acquitted. There was great cheering outside the court. The article on which Schroeder was impugned stated that there are in Central Europe a number of scoundrels who are responsible for the war. The Court held that it was not proved that neutrality was thereby endangered, and that the article had no effect whatever in Holland or beyond the frontiers.
