ENLISTMENTS.
SOUTH JSLAND WOEFULLY SHORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, December 13. The percentage of registrations (enlistments, including unfits) on Saturday last for the four military districts throughout the Dominion were as under, those for the preceding week being given for sake of comparison:—
Owing to the large shortage of infantry in other military districts, Xo. 5 group (Wellington city and suburbs) has been asked to supply as many more infantry as possible over and above its quota. All men fit and available for infantry will therefore be sent into camp immediately, and will be taken up to and including January 4, being sent into camp daily.
