NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council held on the 22nd day of November, 1915, a resolution was passed:— "That the street in New Plymouth knowß as Paynter's Lane be widened as shows on the plans now produced." And notice is> hereby also given that the said resolution will be submitted to an oidiaary meeting of the said Council, to be held at the offices of the Council, situate in King Street, in the Town of New Plymouth,, on the 20th day of December, ISIS, at 7.30 p.m., for confirmation as a special order. VPHE Minister* in Charge of Munitions and Supplies desires that in the acquisition of: articles under this head all members of the commercial community should: be given a direct opportunity to secure such contracts or orders as the Department has from time to time to offer. To attain this object it is proposed to establish, as from Ist January, 1986, a Register of Manufacturers, Merchants, and others who desire to make quotations foj any business the Department has to offer. Application to be put on the: Register of Suppliers must be made on forms provided for the purpose, which can be obtained from the Defence Stares, Auckland Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin. A. W. ' TTOLIDAY Excursion Tickets available for return until 17th February will be issued from any station to any station on North Island main line and branches from 17th December,. 1915, to 3rd January, 1910. Tickets st Holiday Excursion fares available for same dates will also. be issued from any officered station on North Island main line and branches (except Wellington) to aaiy station on the South Islaoid maun line and branches (except Lyttelton). The journey must be - commenced on day of issue and may be-broken at any station at which the train stops after travelling-fifty miles. CHRISTMAS EVE, 24th (DECMBER, 1915. QN 24th December passenger train will leave New Plymouth 9.30 p.m., arriving Stratford 11.20 p.m. Return train will leave Stratford 11.30 p.m., arriving New Plymouth 1.0 a;m. Special passenger train will leave Waitara at 9.40 p.m. for Lepperton Junction, returning from Lepperton 10.5 p.m. after connecting with above special from New Plymouth. The ordinary train service on Toko branch will be suspended and trains will run as follows': Leave Stratford 12.40 p.™. and 9.0 p.m., Te Wc-ra 2.10 and 10.55 p.m.. arriving Whangamomona. 3.0 p.m. and 11.25 p.m Leave Whangamomona 9.30 a.m. and 4.0 p.m., Te« Wera 10.25 a.m. and 4.50 p.m., arriving; CHRISTMAS DAY, 25th 1915. 0 N 2oth December following trainsonly will run:—The 7.20 a.ni. TOKO BRANCH:—No trains will*run on Toko branch on Christmas Day. No goods- or live stock will be conveyed on 25th and 27th December and Ist January, and goods sheds will be closed on -those days.
