GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL.

PROBABLE CHANGE OF LOCATION. The difficulty of providing adequate accommodation for the pupils of the New Plymouth Girls' High School has been under the consideration of tile Board for some time, with a view to securing a more suitable building than the present one in which to carry on the work of the school until a permanent building is erected. Yesterday the Board was informed that the top floor of the new electrical sub-station in Liardet Street was not to be occupied for the present, and several members of the Board visited the building to see if it' would be suitable for the school. They were accompanied by the Lady Principal (iMiss Hodges), and they were unanimous in their decision that the accommodation would be very suitable. They approached the Chairman of the Electric Light Committee on the matter ana tie agreed to place the question of letting that portion of the building to the Board before his committee for favorable consideration. The matter was discussed at a meeting of the Electric Light Committee last night, and it was decided,, that in view or the peculiar circumstances in which the Board was- placed, to offer the Board the top floor of the sub-station until the end of next year at a rental of £2 a week, other terms to be arranged.
